Develop Your Strategic Plan

Since this is a fully customized process (relative to content of the plan, meeting scheduling/composition, etc.) the process will include a series of 4 to 5 meetings with various groups within the organization including:
- Board of Directors and Staff Leadership (Typically 1st and last meeting include all board members)
- Planning Committee – includes several board members + select staff
- Staff leadership
- Staff – including a broader group – up to all staff – for inclusion in a reasonable/appropriate format
- Possibly other key external stakeholders
Targeted Audience: NWA not-for-profit organizations that currently do not have strategic plans, or have outdated strategic plans.

- Develop a complete strategic plan for the organization, setting their roadmap for the next 3 years, and link the strategic plan with performance planning and support.
- Enhance organizational performance through streamlined, easy, accessible performance reporting and tracking (both at organizational and individual level) through use of a new web-based technology.
Objectives:
Strategic planning process will accomplish the following:
- Involve board and staff through a professionally facilitated, customized 5 month process.
- Consider the environment in which organization currently operates;
- Review and recommitment to the mission;
- Determination of key goals and objectives for strategic and operational direction setting;
- Identify clear performance measures for tracking achievement of goals;
- Prioritization of goals/projects;
- Develop a framework by which the board and staff can operate and be accountable in moving forward to implement the strategic plan – including training for role of board and staff in plan execution.
- Project will utilize new web-based planning documentation system that will streamline both documentation development as well as execution updates/tracking/reporting.
