- a state-wide community foundation located in Little Rock that serves donors who have state-wide interests.
» Community Foundations of America
- a new organization, formed in 1999, to provide products and services that enhance the ability of community foundations to build their communities and serve their donors.
» The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation
- one of the largest and most innovative community foundations.
» Kaiser Family Foundation
- an independent philanthropy focusing on the major health care issues facing the nation.
» Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation
- serving donors and grantseekers in Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington counties.
» The Oklahoma City Community Foundation
- boasts the largest number of agency endowments among community foundations. At latest count, this community foundation had 300 agency endowments.

- an educational nonprofit membership organization for staff and trustees of foundations and corporations, is the only national professional organization of grantmakers active in the field of aging.

» Online Legal e-Source
- this new resource for nonprofits, accessible at: www.uacted.uark.edu/legalesource , is a collaboration of Care Foundation, University of Arkansas School of Law, and the University of Arkansas School of Continuing Education and Academic Outreach. The tool is free to non-profit organizations. Current topics include information about bylaws, bylaws for organization with members, and bylaw provisions related to directors of organizations. Other topics will be added in the near future.
» IRS "Stay Exempt" Website for Small, Mid-Size Organizations
- Due to cost and time concerns, the IRS has cut down on the number of live, face-to-face workshops it offers each year. "With this new online program, anyone, anywhere can access a 'virtual workshop' whenever it's convenient for them," said Lois Lerner, Director of the Exempt Organizations division. » Community Report Card
- a needs assessment was recently conducted by the United Ways of Northwest Arkansas, with the support of a group of collaborative funders, to establish a baseline of information about the people and human services located in Northwest Arkansas.
